In this project, I wanted to push the hand painted stylization as far as I could in Substance, while maintaining the style of Smite and taking advantage of the fill layers and procedural generation effects in Substance.
I work almost entirely in fill masks, so that changes or updates to the design, or idea’s that I want to try, are as non-destructive as possible. This has really helped me work fast but also try a lot of different ideas.
